Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who breached a barricade and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared clip depicts the Australian man pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Several fans also questioned guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

The show itself is a spin-off of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and received 10 Academy Award nods, earning two for best costume and production design.
