The British and French governments have inked a statement of purpose concerning the deployment of military forces in the nation if a peace deal be struck with Russia, the Prime Minister of Britain, Keir Starmer, has announced.
Subsequent to talks with Ukraine's allies in the French capital, he said that the allies would "create operational bases throughout Ukraine and build fortified structures for arms and defense matériel" to deter any potential attack.
The allied nations also suggested that the America would take the lead in overseeing a halt in hostilities.
The Kremlin has on multiple occasions cautioned that any non-Ukrainian military in Ukraine would be considered a "legitimate target", but has not yet commented on this latest development.
Moscow's leader Vladimir Putin began a major offensive of Ukraine in February 2022, and Russia presently occupies about 20% of the country's land.
"This constitutes a crucial element of our commitment to stand with Ukraine for the duration," stated Starmer.

The negotiator noted the coalition had "mostly completed" their work on finalizing such pledges "so that the people of Ukraine know that when this conflict ends, it ends permanently."
Donald Trump's son-in-law, former American President Donald Trump's special envoy, also took part in the negotiations.
Meanwhile, President Macron Emmanuel Macron said that Ukraine's partners had made "significant headway" at the negotiations.
He noted that "strong" security guarantees for Kyiv had been reached in the case of a potential ceasefire.
Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky commented that a "huge advance" had been made in Paris, but cautioned that he would only deem efforts to be "adequate" if they resulted in the end of the fighting.
Last week, the Ukrainian leader suggested a peace deal was "mostly finalized". Finalizing the outstanding 10% would "determine the future of peace, the fate of Ukraine and Europe".
